Free Webinar: “Innerstanding” Dyslexia

April 8 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

What if the hardest part of dyslexia isn’t reading… but not knowing why reading feels so hard?

Join us for a free live webinar that looks at dyslexia from the inside out.

Maybe you’re the parent watching your bright, creative child lose confidence with every school day. Homework has become a battleground. You can see who they are, curious, funny, capable — but the system keeps telling them something different.

Or maybe that child was you.

You figured out how to get by. You found workarounds. You work harder than most people realize, and you make it look fine. But you know it’s harder than it should be. And you’re tired.

Either way, you’ve probably tried things that didn’t work. Tutoring. Interventions. Strategies. And you’re wary of trying something else that promises a lot and delivers very little.

Most approaches to dyslexia were created by people who don’t have it. Davis was created by someone WITH dyslexia, for people with dyslexia.

What “innerstanding” really means:

“Innerstanding” dyslexia is different from understanding it.

Understanding dyslexia is intellectual. It’s facts, definitions, checklists.

Innerstanding it is the moment everything makes sense — not just in your head, but in your gut. The shame loosens. The self-blame stops. You stop asking what’s wrong with me and start seeing how your mind actually works.

That moment changes things.

When you innerstand dyslexia:

  • Words stop floating
  • Symbols stop flipping
  • Math stops feeling hostile
  • Attention becomes regulated
  • Confidence returns — without having to be coached into existence

Not because you’ve learned to cope better. Because the source of confusion has been addressed.

Why Davis is Different

The Davis Method was created by Ron Davis — a dyslexic person — in the 1980s. He didn’t study dyslexia from the outside. He lived it, and he figured out what was actually happening inside a dyslexic mind.

That distinction matters.

Most interventions treat dyslexia as a reading problem to be fixed through repetition, phonics drills, and compensatory strategies. They focus on the surface. They can help, but they often don’t address what’s underneath, that’s why so many people come to Davis after years of trying other things.

Davis addresses dyslexia at the perceptual level. At the point where confusion truly begins.

In this webinar, Karen LoGiudice, a Davis Facilitator and dyslexic herself — will walk you through exactly how that works. Not theory. Not a pitch. A clear explanation of what dyslexia feels like from the inside, and what changes when it’s finally understood that way.

What you will learn

We’ll explore dyslexia through three lenses:

  1. The Dyslexic Thinking Style: How dyslexic minds process the world — visually, spatially, creatively. Why this is a genuine strength, and why traditional education is so often a poor fit for it.
  2. Disorientation — the hidden source of confusion: This is the piece most interventions miss entirely. Disorientation is what happens perceptually when a dyslexic person encounters confusion — and it’s why words move, symbols flip, and focus slips. Understanding this has a huge shift..
  3. Mastery — the path to lasting clarity: Not coping. Not compensating. Actual resolution, because the source of the confusion is addressed.

When you “innerstand” how you think, shame begins to loosen its grip. And confidence doesn’t need to be forced, it returns naturally.

This webinar is for you if …

  • Your child is bright and creative, but struggling with reading, writing, or focus
  • School or traditional interventions haven’t made enough difference
  • Homework has become a nightly source of tears, frustration, or conflict
  • You can see your child’s self-confidence draining, and you don’t know how to stop it
  • You’ve spent time and money on support that hasn’t delivered what you hoped
  • You want to understand what’s actually happening in your child’s mind, not just how to manage it

Or:

  • You were diagnosed with dyslexia as a child, or you’ve always suspected it but never had it confirmed
  • You’ve built a working life around your strengths, but certain things still cost you more energy than they should
  • Emails, forms, written communication take far longer than they take other people
  • You know exactly what you want to say, but getting it out, in writing or sometimes in speech, is a different story
  • You’ve developed systems that work, but they’re exhausting to maintain
  • You’d like to understand what’s actually going on, not to be fixed, but because knowing changes things

You don’t need a diagnosis to attend.

Your host: Karen Logiudice

Davis Facilitator | Davis North America Co Hub Director | Davis International Chief Growth Officer

Karen became a Davis Facilitator in 2006, after her son’s experience with the Davis program changed the trajectory of his life. During her training, she discovered she is dyslexic herself.

She doesn’t talk about dyslexia from the outside. She innerstands it — and she’s spent nearly 20 years helping others reach that same moment of recognition.

We would love to see you there.
