But you’d hardly notice the difference! We work for 90 minute sessions followed by a 30 minute break to ensure that you don’t get Zoom fatigue. You  will be introduced to Davis Concept Mastery and how to apply this  technique to concepts such as change\, consequence\, time\, sequence\, order  and disorder. These concepts are the foundation for the mastery of  mathematical processes and equations. They additionally form a crucial  part of the process of ADHD correction. \nTraining Schedule:\n\nGift of Learning Workshop: Saturday 24th — Wednesday 28th January 2026\, 9:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. GMT (UTC+0) \n\n\nCost for modules: \nBasic Field Assignments: £400 \nBasic Practice Meeting: £1000 \nGift of Learning Workshop: £1200 \nTotal: £2600 \n£100 prompt enrolment discount available on enrolments onto all three modules on or before Sunday 24th August 2025. (Discount is a single reduction\, not per module. Practice takes place in groups of two to three people under the guidance of a Davis Specialist. \nTraining Schedule:\n\nMonday 1st — Wednesday 3rd and Saturday 6th — Sunday 7th December 2025\, 9:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. GMT (UTC+0)\n\n\nCost for modules: \nBasic Field Assignments: £400 \nBasic Practice Meeting: £1000 \nGift of Learning Workshop: £1200 \nTotal: £2600 \n£100 prompt enrolment discount available on enrolments onto all three modules on or before Sunday 24th August 2025. (Discount is a single reduction\, not per module. SUMMARY:Pod Week 1 – Online- New Zealand
DESCRIPTION:This training ensures professional standards of quality for providing 5-day Davis programs are fully developed and understood. Students work in groups of 3 (pods) under the supervision of a Davis Specialist\, in one of the following roles for a full week: \n\nProviding a 5-day Davis Program.\nReceiving a 5-day Program.\nObserving a Program.\n\nStudents must complete 3 pod weeks – one in each role. The roles are not done in a specific order\, e.g.\, some students may provide a program during their first Pod Week\, while others may provide a program in their third Pod Week. The Pod Weeks are scheduled by availability of roles: each group of three must have a provider\, a client\, and an observer. Therefore scheduling is subject to forming groups of three students who all have complimentary roles. The observing and providing roles may need to be repeated to improve skills. Includes individual supervisor consultations\, Client Kit in the “receive program” Pod Week\, and handbook of forms required for providing Davis programs. Group discussions and short lectures are led by a Specialist are held throughout the Pod Weeks. These further prepare a student for providing Davis programs in a professional\, business setting.

DESCRIPTION:This training ensures professional standards of quality for providing 5-day Davis programs are fully developed and understood. Students work in groups of 3 (pods) under the supervision of a Davis Specialist\, in one of the following roles for a full week: \n\nProviding a 5-day Davis Program.\nReceiving a 5-day Program.\nObserving a Program.\n\nStudents must complete 3 pod weeks – one in each role. The roles are not done in a specific order\, e.g.\, some students may provide a program during their first Pod Week\, while others may provide a program in their third Pod Week. The Pod Weeks are scheduled by availability of roles: each group of three must have a provider\, a client\, and an observer. Therefore scheduling is subject to forming groups of three students who all have complimentary roles. The observing and providing roles may need to be repeated to improve skills. Includes individual supervisor consultations\, Client Kit in the “receive program” Pod Week\, and handbook of forms required for providing Davis programs. Group discussions and short lectures are led by a Specialist are held throughout the Pod Weeks. These further prepare a student for providing Davis programs in a professional\, business setting.

In doing so\, we were determined to continue providing richly experiential training. So we explored and implemented numerous ways of ensuring this continued\, even across a digital screen. The feedback from our trainees has been so overwhelmingly positive that we decided to stay with the online model even when the risks from the pandemic started to wane. \n \nThe Gift of Dyslexia online is still the Gift of Dyslexia. This is no dry webinar. We employ a host of creative innovations to ensure the same dynamic\, convivial\, hands-on experience that you would expect from any Davis methods workshop. \nFeatures of the online workshop experience include:  \n\n\n“camera-on\, mic-on” interactive instruction \n\n\nshort video demonstrations of key procedures in a face-to-face setting \n\n\nanimated walk-throughs of our main procedures \n\n\nadapted pair work practice in “breakout rooms” \n\n\ncontent review and Q&A sessions to reinforce your learning as you go along \n\n\nin-session use of plasticine clay\, so you can experience Davis Symbol Mastery hands-on. \n\n\n We strongly recommend connecting to the sessions from a computer or large tablet. During the clay modelling sessions\, a second device (such as a smartphone) will be needed so that the Presenter and fellow-participants can see your face and your clay models at the same time. \n \nYour Workshop Presenter \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAxel Gudmundsson \nAxel Gudmundsson is a psychotherapist\, educator\, and neurodiversity advocate with a background in arts\, publishing\, and human development. Originally from Iceland\, he has worked in graphic design\, TV\, and motion pictures before transitioning into self-help and education. \nAs the founder of Gifted Dyslexic and Davis Dyslexia Association Africa\, Axel has introduced and expanded Davis Dyslexia Correction across Iceland\, the UK\, and South Africa.
