Davis was created by someone WITH dyslexia\, for people with dyslexia. \n                \n            \n \n\nWhat “innerstanding” really means:\n“Innerstanding” dyslexia is different from understanding it. \nUnderstanding dyslexia is intellectual. It’s facts\, definitions\, checklists. \nInnerstanding it is the moment everything makes sense — not just in your head\, but in your gut. The shame loosens. The self-blame stops. You stop asking what’s wrong with me and start seeing how your mind actually works. \nThat moment changes things. \nWhen you innerstand dyslexia: \n\nWords stop floating\nSymbols stop flipping\nMath stops feeling hostile\nAttention becomes regulated\nConfidence returns — without having to be coached into existence\n\nNot because you’ve learned to cope better. Because the source of confusion has been addressed. \n\nWhy Davis is Different\nThe Davis Method was created by Ron Davis — a dyslexic person — in the 1980s. He didn’t study dyslexia from the outside. He lived it\, and he figured out what was actually happening inside a dyslexic mind. \nThat distinction matters. \nMost interventions treat dyslexia as a reading problem to be fixed through repetition\, phonics drills\, and compensatory strategies. They focus on the surface. They can help\, but they often don’t address what’s underneath\, that’s why so many people come to Davis after years of trying other things. \nDavis addresses dyslexia at the perceptual level.
