A former classroom teacher with a background in both adult and secondary education\, he discovered the Davis Methods while seeking a solution for a struggling learner—and has been immersed in the work ever since. \nHis passion for holistic approaches to learning has led him to deliver workshops on parent–child communication\, and to lecture internationally in countries including the UK\, Ireland\, Iceland\, Estonia\, Poland\, Portugal\, Italy (Sardinia)\, South Africa\, New Zealand\, and the United States. \nOriginally trained as a linguist\, Richard speaks several European languages and is also a PATOSS-accredited Specialist Teacher Assessor\, with a particular interest in multilingual SpLD assessment. He previously served for six years as Special Educational Needs Coordinator in a leading British independent school. \nRichard is the author of Why Tyrannosaurus But Not If? and Counting On Fingers\, and has contributed to publications such as Literacy Today\, Green Parent Magazine\, and Personnel Today. He has been a regular speaker at the Birmingham Neurodiversity Show. \nCathie Geraci \nDavis Autism Approach Workshop Presenter & Training Supervisor \nCathie is an American who has lived in Venice\, Italy for more than 30 years. She holds degrees in Economics and Speech Communication\, and brings over two decades of experience supporting neurodivergent individuals—beginning with her own children\, whose remarkable progress first introduced her to the Davis Methods 15 years ago. \nInspired by their transformation\, Cathie trained as a Facilitator and has since helped more than 200 individuals discover and use their innate intelligence. In addition to her client work\, she is a Training Supervisor and Workshop Presenter for the Davis Autism Approach®. \nCathie has worked closely with Ron Davis\, contributing to programme development and the Italian translation of his work. SUMMARY:Basic Practice Meeting – Malvern\, UK
DESCRIPTION:The Basic Practice Meeting develops a refined level of skill  in the basic Davis techniques and enhanced experiential understanding of  the perceptual\, thinking and learning style of dyslexics. The human qualities that ensure success as a Davis Facilitator are introduced\,  explored and developed. Practice takes place in groups of two to three people under the guidance of a Davis Specialist. \n\n\nCancellation and Refund Policy \nWhen purchasing your enrolment onto these modules\, you will be asked to confirm acceptance of the following Cancellation and Refund Policy: \n\nYou may cancel your enrolment within seven days of enrolling\, provided that you notify us of this in writing and provided that the date of cancellation also provides for at least one month’s notice prior to commencement of the module in question.  Should you be unable to attend the training for reasons of a personal or family medical emergency\, then we will treat each case on an individual basis following presentation of the necessary medical evidence. Whole or partial refunds will be entirely at our discretion. DESCRIPTION:The Gift of Learning (formerly Advanced) Workshop focuses on dyscalculia (maths difficulties) and ADHD. You  will be introduced to Davis Concept Mastery and how to apply this  technique to concepts such as change\, consequence\, time\, sequence\, order  and disorder. These concepts are the foundation for the mastery of  mathematical processes and equations.
