DESCRIPTION:The Davis Learning Strategies® workshop gives teachers:\n\nA set of learning strategies promoting self-regulating behaviors\nVisual-kinesthetic approaches matching children’s developmental levels\nStrategies challenging the needs of all learners within a classroom\nStrategies that complement any curriculum already in place\nProject-based learning for students\nDetailed instructions appropriate for Response to Intervention (RTI) needs\n\n\n\n\nThe Davis Learning Strategies are geared to beginning readers and designed for classroom use. In pilot classrooms\, these methods eliminated the need for special education placement for at-risk students. Strong readers gained stronger language and grammar skills\, and weaker students learned to read effortlessly. Gifted education placement from pilot classrooms exceeded national averages.
