In doing so\, we were determined to continue providing richly experiential training. So we explored and implemented numerous ways of ensuring this continued\, even across a digital screen. The feedback from our trainees has been so overwhelmingly positive that we decided to stay with the online model even when the risks from the pandemic started to wane. \n \nThe Gift of Dyslexia online is still the Gift of Dyslexia. This is no dry webinar. We employ a host of creative innovations to ensure the same dynamic\, convivial\, hands-on experience that you would expect from any Davis methods workshop. \nFeatures of the online workshop experience include:  \n\n\n“camera-on\, mic-on” interactive instruction \n\n\nshort video demonstrations of key procedures in a face-to-face setting \n\n\nanimated walk-throughs of our main procedures \n\n\nadapted pair work practice in “breakout rooms” \n\n\ncontent review and Q&A sessions to reinforce your learning as you go along \n\n\nin-session use of plasticine clay\, so you can experience Davis Symbol Mastery hands-on. \n\n\n We strongly recommend connecting to the sessions from a computer or large tablet. During the clay modelling sessions\, a second device (such as a smartphone) will be needed so that the Presenter and fellow-participants can see your face and your clay models at the same time. \n \nYour Workshop Presenters \n \nCathie Geraci \nCathie is an American who has lived in Venice Italy for over 30 years. She holds degrees in Economics and Speech Communication.  She has over 20 years of experience with learning difficulties both personally with her neurodivergent children as well as working with neurodivergent individuals. She discovered the Davis Methods 15 years ago and the results were so spectacular for her children that she immediately began to train to become a facilitator. In addition to helping over 200 individuals to help understand their intelligence as a facilitator\, she is a Training Supervisor and Workshop Presenter for the Davis Autism Method. DESCRIPTION:The Basic Practice Meeting develops a refined level of skill  in the basic Davis techniques and enhanced experiential understanding of  the perceptual\, thinking and learning style of dyslexics. The human qualities that ensure success as a Davis Facilitator are introduced\,  explored and developed. Practice takes place in groups of two to three people under the guidance of a Davis Specialist. \n\n\nCancellation and Refund Policy \nWhen purchasing your enrolment onto these modules\, you will be asked to confirm acceptance of the following Cancellation and Refund Policy: \n\nYou may cancel your enrolment within seven days of enrolling\, provided that you notify us of this in writing and provided that the date of cancellation also provides for at least one month’s notice prior to commencement of the module in question.  Should you be unable to attend the training for reasons of a personal or family medical emergency\, then we will treat each case on an individual basis following presentation of the necessary medical evidence.
